She
Prologue: It was one of those free periods in college and I was in a reflective mood. Across the room sat my friend who normally is equal to the power of a few hurricanes but there she was in her own world, in her zone and I couldn't help but pen down what I observed.
I see you sitting in the class, quiet as night,
Your hair falling on your face, you
So deeply engrossed in your thoughts, then you look at me
And smile, even brighter than light.
You were thinking something, couldn't guess;
Was lost in your face,
Mesmerizing as it is, it's intensity
And a lot more it had to offer.
You put down your head, you try to sleep
Are you sad? Are you ignoring something?
Or is it just one of those mood swings
Just then, I catch you peep.
You pack your bag, put your cell phone in,
The bag is your pillow, I assume
You are not always the bubbly girl, I realize
Not always the talkative, the enthusiast
Even you like to stay on your own, to think at times
The side that many have not seen.

The poem has a way of bringing her three dimension self to a two dimension paper.
